For Peruvian songwriter & visual artist, Juan Ledesma, Going Forth was a way to work through the confluence of endings, the end of a 7 year romantic relationship and the end of successful Miami buzz band, KRISP. Placed firmly in the world of bedroom pop and songwriter confessional, Ledesma's first EP under his birth name gives the listener an unfiltered, unabashed, and honest look at someone who is putting the pieces back together—as much reflecting on the past as starting back on the path forward.
Going Forth ranges in style, tempo, and feel, while showcasing Ledesma's musical and production prowess—he co-produced the record and plays all instruments besides the visceral drumming. One need look no further to find a compelling batch of songs, written at a critical crossroads by an ardent songwriter with a bright future ahead.
